Case study project on redesigning GRUBHUB User Interface

Grubhub partners up with +150 campuses in the United States, of which including Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University in offering Grubhub+ Student Membership and Grubhub Campus Dining program. However, there have been numerous complains about the usability of the mobile app which causes problems including wrong orders, difficulty in ordering, and confusing informations.
• Users were able to navigate from selecting food to placing an order smoothly, Users understood and were able to confirm order informations, delivery method, and payment.
• Users struggled using the search bar as it is not a fully working prototype.
During the testing, I had to clarify that it is a prototype and it does not function as a search bar.
• One user did not click the delivery button in the Home page throughout the testing.
• Moving the “Express Reorder” to the front page.
• Adding suggestions / recommendations by category when search bar is clicked
• Including advertisements & promotions in search bar for more exposure
